Claude Bryant Obituary

Claude Edward "Buddy" Bryant, Sr., 50, of Raleigh, died on Friday, Jan. 20, 2006 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at Oak City Cemetery, Oak City. A native of Martin County, he was born on April 18, 1955 to the late Robert Lee and Irene Harrell Bryant. Claude possessed a generous spirit and was a loving father and husband. Before moving to Raleigh, he spent most of his life in the Oak City community of eastern North Carolina. "Buddy," as he was known, loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his friends. In addition to his parents, sisters, Edna Hyman and Doris Warren also preceded him in death. Surviving are his loving wife of three years, Cathy S. Bryant of the home; daughter, Angela Bryant of Apex,; son, Claude "Eddie" Bryant Jr. of Raleigh; stepdaughters, Chelsea Cobb of the home and Jenna Cobb of Transylvania, La.; and stepson, Justin Cobb of the home. Also surviving are sisters, Barbara Beale and husband, Glen Beale of Virginia Beach, Va and Loraine Buck of Jacksonville, Fla.; and brother Jimmy Bryant of Oak City The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at Biggs Funeral Home, 701 S. Main Street, Robersonville, NC.
