Dallas Mizell Obituary

WILLIAMSTON - Dallas Gray Mizell, 87, died Tuesday Sept. 7, 2010 peacefully at his home sitting in his favorite recliner. The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Travis Wood officiating; burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Mizell was born July 23, 1923, in Martin County son of the late Henry Dawson and Gladys Taylor Mizell. He was retired from N. C. Green Oil Company where he had worked for 39 1/2 years as a delivery driver. He was a member of the West End Baptist Church.
His parents and a brother, Elmer T. Mizell preceded him in death.
On April 9, 1947 he married Easter Rogerson Mizell who survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are a son, Donald Mizelle and wife, Betty Jo, of Bear Grass; daughters, Marla M. Mobley of Charleston, W.Va., and Vivian M. Roberson and husband, Randy, of Bear Grass; brother, Russell "Bunk" Mizell and wife, Betty, of Cary; sister, Etles M. White of Williamston, granddaughter, Charlotte M. Clark and husband, Scott; grandsons, Don Mizelle and wife, Jenny, Jason Mizelle and wife, Susan, Will Mobley, Brian Roberson and Justin Roberson, and Great Grandson Tyler Mizelle.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 105 S. McCaskey Road.

I always remember Uncle Dallas coming to visit Granny. He always would tell me stories about Aunt Easter and Granny doing thing together. He always made me laugh. We will miss you dearly. Our prayers and thought are with you Aunt Easter we love you

I remember Mr. Dallas from when I was a child. We were on his route for gas deliveries. He was always very personable and would stop and chat with us for a few minutes while he was filling our tanks. He was a great man and I know he will be missed by many.
