Frances Winstead Obituary
The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 AM in the Farmer Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 AM until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memoria Estates.
Frances retired from E. I. DuPont and was a longtime member of Ormondsville O.F.W.B. Church. She volunteered for many years with the Lenoir Memorial Hospital Lights of Love. She enjoyed working in the garden with her husband and was an excellent cook.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Winstead; parents, James and Sadie Haddock; sons, Dean Winstead and Curtis Winstead; and all five of her siblings.
She is survived by her one daughter, Debra Houston and husband, Phil of Greenville, two sons, John Winstead and wife, Francine of Greenville, Kevin Winstead and wife, Debbi of Afton, VA; eight grandchildren, Philip Houston and wife, Rebecca, Chris Houston and wife, Brittany, Beth Dawson and husband, Nick, Ashley Haase and husband, Nick, Emma Winstead, Jane Winstead, Jason Winstead, and Laura Casimbon and husband, Chris; and many beloved great-grandchildren.
Flowers are welcome, but donations may be made to Lights of Love, P.O Box 1678, Kinston, NC 28503.
