Herman Hines Obituary

Herman Ralph Hines
WINTERVILLE - Herman Ralph Hines, born in 1943 in Pitt County to Edward Clinton Hines, Jr and Edna Mae Adams, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
He is survived by his children, Jason Hines (wife Mimosa) and Gray Hines, and grandchildren Ruby and Penelope. His ex-wife, Kay Hines, brother Charles Hines (wife Brenda), and sister Merry Smith (husband Greg) also survive him. Herman leaves behind eight nieces and nephews.
A skilled barber and business owner, Herman dedicated 63 years to his craft, serving his clients and community. He was a Vietnam War veteran, serving from 1967 to 1969. Herman was a devoted "Ford man" and NASCAR enthusiast, and created lasting memories this past year while living with his son, Gray.
Herman's legacy of love and community service will be remembered by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Wilkerson's Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30, with a burial at Winterville Cemetery thereafter.
