The earth has lost a good man. I knew Rev. Little mostly through my mother, Joy James, whom for years held Weight Watcher classes at St. Lukes and I, as a little one, would often wander the church. But when it came time to marry nearly two decades later -- and I had become Episcopalian (leaving my parent's Baptist church) -- despite being retired, Rev. Little did my husband and I the great service of officiating our wedding at Salisbury Station, I think at least in part to honor my mother, who had died. I know my dad, Dr. Ted James, was pleased and it was just one way that Salisbury, no matter how far I've roamed, seems to always find a place for those who return, even briefly. Rev. Little was such a blessing. Thank you for sharing him with us and I hope his memories bring you comfort.

Mayo baptized my sister Sally Henley Swann in 1962. What a wonderful man and family. We loved living "down the alley" from you.

The Rector and members of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Morehead City, NC send their warm thoughts, love and prayers. This church would not be what it is today without the pastoral and priestly work of Mayo Little.
