J.B. Butts Obituary

GEORGETOWN, Texas - A Memorial Service for J.B. Butts will be held July 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the Ayden First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4049 N.E. College St. in Ayden, N.C. J.B. Butts, 78, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly of Willcox, Ariz. passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in Round Rock, Texas, after a courageous battle with ALS.
J.B. was born in Greenville, N.C. on April 21, 1932 to Charles T. and Lottie Williams Butts. He married Lucette Barbier Butts of France in 1955. He served as a Chief Master Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force in the Parachute Division and retired after 28 years service. J.B. also served as a volunteer for the Arizona Parks and Recreation Department for ten years. He was an active member of the Assembly of God Church where he lived.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles Butts Jr., Thomas Butts and Donald Butts; sisters, Ruby McGowan and Doris Butts.
He is survived by his wife, Lucette Butts of Georgetown, Texas; three sons, Steve Butts of Portsmouth, Ohio, Glenn Butts of Wayne, W.Va. and Danny Butts of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Nadine Davis of Georgetown, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, David Butts of Greenville, N.C.; two sisters, Alice Ann Padgett of Roanoke, Va. and LaRue Woodward of Raleigh, N.C.
