James Fowler Obituary

James Allen "Jim" Fowler
CLEMMONS - James Allen "Jim" Fowler, 66, passed away on August 21, 2025, in Clemmons, North Carolina. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on October 9, 1958, Jim spent much of his life in Danville, Illinois, before moving to Greenville, North Carolina, in 1998. His faith in Christ was a guiding force throughout his life. Over the years, he worshipped at Second Church of Christ in Danville and later at Unity Free Will Baptist Church in Greenville. An avid hunter and fisherman, Jim enjoyed time spent in nature. He also found great joy in relaxing on the porch or by the firepit with his family's rescue dogs. Above all, Jim cherished his wife Debbie, with whom he shared 36 years of love, laughter, and unwavering support. Debbie was not only his partner in life but also his greatest source of strength and joy. Jim is lovingly remembered by his son, Ryan Fowler, and Ryan's husband, Rafael; his daughter, Kara Yates, and her husband, Matt; and his grandchildren, Hayden and Madelyn. He also leaves behind his sister, Judy Dorsey, and her husband, Justin; his brother, Mike Fowler, and his husband, Mark; and his sister, Linda Kays, and her husband, Mark. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debbie; his mother, Naomi Fowler; and his father, Robert Fowler. A memorial service for family and close friends will be held on September 20, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, IL.
