James Whitehead Obituary
GREENVILLE - James Whitehead II, passed away September 10, 2024 with loved ones by his side.
Jim, a native of New York was born November 15, 1936 to the late Dr. Duncan Whitehead and Annie Whitehead. Jim earned his BS in micro-biology from Syracuse University. He was an avid member of Pitt County Wildlife Club and enjoyed his supper club companions.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Judy and son Duncan Whitehead.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Gray Whitehead (Tammy), Whit Whitford, Sumner Little (Garrett) and Missy James (Jim), Grandchildren, Hannah James and Austin James.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenville, North Carolina on October 25, 2024.

Jim loved to shoot. I stayed in the barracks at Stone Bay with him and listened to stories over an evening nite cap. My condolences to the family, Jim will be missed.

Tommy, I´m very sorry to learn of the passing of your dad, Judy, and Duncan.... It´s been some time since he and I had any contact.... We had some memorable times shooting, especially on my first trip to the National Matches at Camp Perry! Jim drove us up in his Ford Pinto.... I bought a sweat shirt (with all the National Match logo), and wore it for ten days with out washing it!! It was ugly, and Jim´s Pinto had a nasty odor in it all the home! We spoke of it often while we were shooting comrades.... They were good times!
