Jo Sode Obituary
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 pm at Parkers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Jo Anne, a native of Ahoskie, was a graduate of Ahoskie High School, and in 1979 graduated from Tennessee Temple in Chattanooga. She worked in various children's homes and school ministries. She later taught first grade at Trinity Christian School in Greenville for over 15 years. She was a member of Parkers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lillian Alston; infant son, Mark Sode; two sisters, Janice Storms and Roberta Daughtry; and a brother, Lloyd Alston, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edward Sode; son, MSgt USAF Nathan Sode of Langley AFB in VA; and several nieces and nephews.
