Joseph McLawhorn Obituary
A celebration of life will be held Sunday at 4 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Joseph was born May 8, 1948 to parents Homer and Helen McLawhorn. He was the big brother to Randy and wife, Kim McLawhorn, Clayton Dean and wife, Tammy McLawhorn, Robin and husband, James Edwards, and Sandra and husband, Wilber Loftin. Also surviving are his nephews, Kevin Loftin and wife, Ashly, Jonathan Loftin, Shane McLawhorn, Wesley McLawhorn, Ethan Phillips; two nieces, Page and Indi McLawhorn; and two great nephews, Caleb and Blake Loftin.
Skeeter loved listening to music (especially Elvis). He loved any events where there was singing and dancing. He also enjoyed Bingo, Uno, bowling, find-a-word and reading his Bible. He resided at Spring Arbor Assisted Living where he built a very happy life for 12 years.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Dean & family so very sorry for the loss of Skeeter. For the 23 yrs we have known skeeter he was a kind, soft spoken man. I always remember him riding his bicycle up and down the road with his country music blasting. He will be in our heart.R.I.P skeeter dude. Breathe easy now you are in our lord's hands now.
