The Roses were our next door neighbors in Kinston for decades. Both he and Mrs. Rose were dear friends of my parents. They were great role models for all of us Hooten's.

Harriet and I are sorry to learn of Dr Rose's passing. He was a wonderful dentist for our children and a very compassionate man. He was very kind to those who needed dentistry help but were not able to afford it. There are many people out there who were lucky to have had his services and to have known him.

Dr. Rose was one of those men who taught by example how to be a Christian gentleman. He was a class act in every way. His memory will inspire me for the rest of my life. I hope he and my Papa are watching a great basketball game and enjoying a beautiful view somewhere wonderful. God rest his soul.

Dr. Rose was such a compassionate professional and the measure with which I have held all other dentists after I moved from Kinston. I am thankful our world was blessed with his kindnesses for so long and I am sorry for your loss.

Our last time together, June, John
decided on seafood. We went to the Sandpiper. There were al least 6
that came by, as we were waiting,
they tried to carry June off. Sorry, he is ours for the evening. Dr. Rose is looking at me, shaking his head ,
