GREENVILLE - Mr. Lindsey Worthington, 67, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 4 PM in Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after the service and other times at the home of Lindsay and Adam Leggett.

Mr. Worthington, a native of Pitt County, attended J.H.Rose High School. He was a retired farmer and co-owner of Keel's Tobacco Warehouse in Greenville, NC. He was a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He also served in the National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Dorothy Harris Worthington.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sue Haddock Worthington; daughter, Lindsay Worthington Leggett and husband, Adam; and Coleman Cruze Leggett, his grandson and best buddy. He is also survived by his brothers, Ronnie Worthington and wife, Judy, of Lexington, NC and Jeff Worthington and wife, Karen, of Winterville; in-laws, Gail Wynne and husband, Jimmy, David and Bet Haddock, Kathy and Mike Tyson; many special nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Ray and Sylvia Long and Ann Haddock.

The family would like to give special thanks to Pastor Roger Haithcock and their Rose Hill Church family, caregiver Jamie May, as well as Dr. Paul Walker and Associates at Vidant Cancer Center and 3 HC staff members: Nikki, Alex, Heather, Amy, and Nancy.

Memorials may be made to Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 6236 County Home Rd., Winterville, NC 28590.
