Lois Stevenson Obituary

Lois Ann Pearce Stevenson GRIMESLAND - Mrs. Lois Ann Pearce Stevenson, 79, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at ECU Health Center. A memorial service celebrating her life was held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 2 PM in the Farmer Funeral Chapel in Ayden. The family received friends from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service. A native of Indiana, Lois was born on August 18, 1946 to the late Robert and Dorothy Williams Pearce. She was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked as a Nurses Aid for a number of years. She and her late husband, William "Bill" Stevenson had made their home in the Blackjack community of Pitt County where they were members of Blackjack Free Will Baptist Church. Lois will be fondly remembered for her happy and sweet disposition. She embraced Jesus as her best friend and shared His good news often. She enjoyed attending church, singing, enjoyed her Coca-Cola and watching westerns. Lois was an animal lover who had many fur family members over the years. A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lois will be greatly missed by the many who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by daughters, Marla Perrine and Tina Perrine. She is survived by Granddaughter, Meka Splitstone; Grandsons, Chris Splitstone and Michael Splitstone; Great-grandchildren, Izayah, Athena, Jaxon, Oliver, Natalie, Daniel, Haley, Dax and Decker; Sister, Connie Bond of Newport News, VA; Brother, James Pearce of Greenville.
