Louise Barham Obituary

Louise Adams Barham Mrs. Louise Adams Barham, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at her home. The funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. today in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Barham was born to Letha and Adrian Adams and was one of their six children. She was a graduate of Chicod High School and spent her early years in Greenville. She also lived in Durham and Burlington before returning home in 2005. She was married to the late Leonard Jarrett Barham, who preceded her in death in 2007. She was a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. A loving and giving person by nature, Mrs. Barham enjoyed helping others. She embraced caretaking and when time allowed, she enjoyed gardening and yard work. She had an outgoing personality and really enjoyed meeting people. Most will remember her for her hospitality and warm embrace of others. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Barham was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Earl Adams. She is survived by stepsons, A.B. Scott and wife Betty, and Wade Scott; step grandchildren, Shannyn Scott and Alecia Scott, all of Mount Olive, NC; brother, Adrian D. Adams Jr. and wife Faye; sisters, Peggy A. Tomlin and Sybil A. McLawhorn, all of Greenville, and Betty A. Woodley and husband John of Winterville; sister-inÐlaw, Janie W. Adams of Greenville; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 6236 County Home Road, Winterville, NC 28590 or Community Home Care & Hospice, 3740 S.
