Mary Nobles

Mary Nobles Mrs. Mary L. Foskey Nobles, 77, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at her home. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Nobles was a native and long time resident of Pitt County where she attended the Pitt County Schools. She was retired from Burroughs-Wellcome after 14 years of service. She was currently a member of the Open Heart Church of God in Ayden and had previously been a longtime member of the Falkland Church of God. A lady of strong faith, Mrs. Nobles greatly enjoyed her church and studying her Bible. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends and was fond of her pets. In addition, she enjoyed gardening and keeping a neat yard. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Mrs. Nobles will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Nobles was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Nobles in 1996; and a son, Donnie Ray Nobles in 1977; and three brothers. She is survived by her sons, Duane Nobles and wife, Cheryl of San Diego, Calif., Garry L. Nobles and wife, Wanda of Grimesland, Arnie L. Nobles of Green Bay, Wisc.; grandchildren, Jason Nobles and wife, Jessica of Farmville, Todd Nobles of Farmville, Donnie Nobles of Pasadena, Calif; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, 3520 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
