Mollie Stancil Obituary
WINTERVILLE - Mollie Stancil, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10th, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10 AM at Covenant Church, 1396 E Fire Tower Rd, Bldg B, Greenville, NC 27858.
Mollie was a graduate of Chase High School of Forest City, NC. She earned her associate degree at Pitt Community College and her BSN in nursing at East Carolina University. She began her nursing career during the last year of Pitt County Hospital before it moved locations. With a true love for nursing, she dedicated over 40 years to the profession. Mollie also enjoyed volunteering at God's Love in Winterville, NC, where she contributed her time and care. In retirement, she appreciated the freedom after years of shift work, spending time watching TV and doing what she wanted.
She was predeceased in death by her parents; David and Norma Head of Rutherfordton, NC; son, Charles David Stancil, and her brother-in-law, Mickey Bland.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Charles Stancil; daughters, Kim Johnson, and Holly Walsh and husband Kirin; granddaughter Emery Walsh; brother Jackie Head; sister, Patti Bland; and nephew Jonathan Bland.
