Sally Ross Simpson Roseveare

HUDDLESTON - On Thursday, December 29, 2016 Sally Ross Simpson Roseveare, 76, passed into the kingdom of heaven from her home on Smith Mountain Lake in Huddleston, VA. Born in Washington, NC on December 19, 1940, she grew up in Greenville, NC. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Christine Ross Simpson and Malcolm (Mack) Thurston Simpson and grandson Jonathan Joseph.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald N. Roseveare; two sons, Bill Roseveare, wife, Lisa, Ronny Roseveare, wife, Katie; daughter Christine Roseveare Joseph,husband, Daniel); 13 grandchildren: Jessica Bailey Roseveare, Matthew Roseveare, Jacob Joseph, Micah Elizabeth Joseph, Nicole Roseveare, Emily Roseveare, Rebecca Joseph, Sarah Joseph, Susannah Joseph, Johanna Joseph, Josiah Joseph, Anna Faith Joseph, Levi Joseph; one brother, Mack Simpson, with wife Susan of Washington, NC; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Trusting in God, Sally had a zest for life and a love for her family and friends. She found delight in writing, paddling her kayak with camera in hand, travelling and dancing with her best friend, Ron.

A Celebration of Sally's Life was held at Trinity Ecumenical Parish in Moneta, VA on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 3:00 PM. A brief graveside service followed at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Forest, VA the following day.

Friends may consider making any memorial contributions to the Bedford VA Humane Society, American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
