Veva Fleming Obituary

Veva B. Fleming/ RALEIGH - Mrs. Veva Bennett Fleming, 94, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Raleigh. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Fleming, daughter of the late Guy and Roberta Bennett, was a native of Beaufort County. She was a member of Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church in Greenville for over 40 years. She was a loving mother and always helped others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton E. Fleming, Sr. Survivors include son Cliff Fleming and wife Joyce of Knightdale; grandson, Henry Fleming and wife Candice of Davidson; granddaughter, Kelly Baird and husband, Jeff, of Jackson; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lola Wright of Belhaven and Mildred Tetterton of Washington. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home today from 6-8 p.m.

Cliff and Joyce, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. I cherish the memories and times that we shared when we lived on River Drive before the flood.
