Dear "Tex" and Alyce,
I was deeply saddened to learn of your dad's passing. A flood of childhood memories came back to me of the many good times our families had together! I still vividly remember many times your dad coming in the door of my old Bethel house to chat with mom and dad. What fun times we had down at Morehead! I have not been there in years. What has happened to that cottage now?
Chet and I moved to Morganton, NC on Nov 1st, just a few weeks ago. Beth Whitehurst called me, but it was too late for me to attend the service. Perhaps we can all get together sometime. I would love to see both of you!
Give my love and regards to your mother for me. Keep in touch. You are in my prayers.
Love,
Cynthia Whitehurst Jarman

"Tex", Alyce, and families,
I was sorry to learn, from my mother this morning, of the death of "Mr. Roscoe", as he will always be known to me. I remember him well from growing up in Bethel. He always seemed larger than life to me when I was a little boy. Please know that an old friend has you in his thoughts at this time of sorrow and fond memories.
