Galesburg - Andrew "Drew" P. Orozco, 53, died at 9:15 am, December 25, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, with his wife and son by his side.
Drew was born on August 6, 1967 in Galesburg, the son of Andres H. and Delores (Garza) Orozco. He married Ana Maria Ceja on April 24, 2010 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg. Drew is survived by his wife, Ana of Galesburg; one son, Xavier Orozco of Galesburg; his parents, Andres and Delores Orozco of Galesburg; two brothers, Jimmy Orozco and Pete Orozco both of Galesburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Drew was preceded in death by one daughter, Amber Hall Orozco on December 17, 2018.
Drew graduated from GHS and attended heavy equipment operators schooling in Wisconsin. He carried a class A CDL and has spent the past several years working for Progress Rail in Galesburg.
Drew was a family first man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. Always active, Drew enjoyed cooking, spending time outdoors, fishing and gardening. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with Father Lee Brokaw officiating. Due to guidelines associated with the COIVD-19 Pandemic, social distancing, limited occupancy, and face masks will be required. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg.
