Bradley M. Dennis Obituary

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Bradley Michael Dennis, 38, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at his residence in Davenport, Iowa. He was formerly of Knoxville.

Brad was born July 18, 1971, in Galesburg, the son of Dave and Cheryl Waggoner Dennis.

On July 17, 1993, he married Michele M. Guldenzopf and they became the proud parents of Trey David.

Brad is survived by his son, Trey; his parents, Dave and Beckey Dennis and Roger and Cheryl Plue.

Preceding him in death were his stepmother, Vickie Dennis; maternal grandparents Charles "Chuck" and Floydene Waggoner; and paternal grandparents Ancil "Banty" and Louis Dennis.

Surviving siblings include Bret Plue, Brian and Kyle Dennis, Christel Thompson, Janie Richmond, Chris, Nick and Susan Plue, Gary, Chad, Sara, Ryan and Adam Condreay.

Many nieces and nephews will miss Uncle Brad immensely, as well as grandparents Dr. and Mrs. Otho Miller, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a special friend, Sandy Marshall.

Brad was a graduate of Knoxville High School, Class of 1989.

He worked as a laser/plasma technician for ESCP Corporation in Davenport, Iowa.

Brad adored his son, Trey. He was his pride and joy. Brad was an avid NASCAR (Tony Stewart) fan, as well as the Steelers. He loved music and had been a DJ in the past. He would camp and fish at any given opportunity. Spending time with his family on the beaches, campgrounds and boating on the mighty Mississippi had become another favorite pastime.

A celebration of life will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, with a memorial service at 3 p.m., with Rev. Dottie Halverson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Trey Dennis College Education Fund c/o First Midwest Bank.
