Clarence Miller Obituary
Peachy was born on July 17, 1926, in Alhambra, Ill., to Clarence B. and Lena English Miller. He married Maella J. Bankes in Bushnell on Sept. 6, 1947m and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2006.
He is survived by two sons, Robert (Patty) Miller of Bushnell, and Roger (Kathy) Miller of Cedar Falls, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one sister, Sara (Bob) Hudson of Bushnell. He is also survived by special friend Virginia VanNatta with whom he made his home. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sons (Billy & Dell) and one brother.
Peachy worked at Mickelberry's in Bushnell, T.P.&W. Railroad, Butler's in Galesburg and then for the City of Bushnell for 25 ½ before retiring.Peachy had a dance band for 60 years and several of those included his sons and brother. He also raced stock cars and he loved to fish, hunt and talk on his CB radio and in general he loved life. He was a member of the Bushnell Christian Church, Bushnell T.J. Pickett Masonic Lodge and Bushnell Odd Fellows.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at the Bushnell Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bushnell Christian Church or the Bushnell Rescue Squad. Please sign the guestbook or leave condolences at www.martinhollisfh.com.
