Darla J. Feller

Darla J. Feller, 75, of Abingdon, died at 4:15 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Marigold Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Galesburg.
She was born June 7, 1939, in Williamsport, Indiana. She married Richard "Dick" Dean Feller on Nov. 15, 1955, at the Christian Church in Williamsport.
Darla is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard; her children, Cris Feller of Abingdon, Ricky Feller of Claytonville, Sandra Links of Abingdon, Linda (Kirk) Danforth of Burlington, Iowa, and Michael (Karen) Feller of Champlin, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Fleisher, Adam (Gina) Martin, Mathew (Tiffany) Dowell, Dane Danforth, Stephanie (Ryan) Borst, Aubrey Feller, Hayley Feller and Bailey Feller; and five great-grandchildren, Bryar, Emersyn, Bryce, Bronson and Serenity.
She was preceded in death by one son, Steven Feller.
She has lived in Abingdon since 2003 and prior to that she had lived in Claytonville, Illinois, and worked as a unit secretary at Iroquois Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Christian Church in Williamsport. She was a member of the Cissna Park Jr. Women's Club. She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid gardener.
Cremation will be accorded. Her celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the Abingdon United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jeff Robbins will officiate. Burial of her cremains will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
