Ed Bell Obituary

WILLIAMSFIELD - Ed Bell, 77, Williamsfield, passed away at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at home.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, at the Williamsfield United Methodist Church. Rev. Norman Mendell will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield. Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Ed Bell Memorial Fund.
He was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Albany, Ky., the son of Sid and Velma (Mason) Bell. He married Marie "Mary" Amburgey on Dec. 28, 1954, in Rockford. She survives, as do three sons, Glen (Linda) Bell of Kewanee, Harold (Connie) Bell of Laura and Keith (Cammie) Bell of Dahinda; four daughters, Sue Damitz (Dick LaFollette), Teresa (Phil) Doubet and Norma (Fred) Hartz, all of Williamsfield, and Sandy Buckner and fiancé, Tom Farrell of Dahinda; two brothers, Ervin Bell of Maryville, Tenn., and Burl (Anna Sue) Bell of Albany, Ky.; a sister, Ina (Jessie) Bigley of Kokomo, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, five brothers and two grandsons, Billy and Wesley.
Ed attended schools in Kentucky. He worked for Midland Coal Company in Victoria as an iron worker and welder until his retirement in 1980. Following his retirement he continued to do welding jobs and worked on cars and tractors. He was a member of Williamsfield United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his family and friends.
