Joseph Stankos Obituary

AVON - Joseph C. Stankos, 85, Avon, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at home. He was born March 20, 1933, in Chicago, the son of Joseph and Mary Stankos.
Joe is survived by his wife, Motoko (Miyahara) Stankos; his children, Linda (Jerry) Cuvala, Lynn (Deane) Fraser, Mary (Charlie) Brown, Ann Holmes, and Joey (Joyce) Stankos; his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Derek) Sisel, John Holmes, Scott (Mallory) Holmes, Jenny (Daniel) Bean, David Gee, Kristen Stankos and Logan Stankos; his great-grandchildren, Fiona Sisel, Renee Sisel and Ryland Bean; as well as his siblings, Marion (the late Andy) Penesis, Stanley (Elaine) Stankos, Nona (Pete) Provenzale and Naomi (Jeff) McMillen.
There will be a visitation for Joe on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 First St. in Cary and will be followed by burial with military honors at St. Casimir Cemetery in Chicago.
