Joshua Burge Obituary
He was born June 7, 1978, in Galesburg, the son of Dallas D. and Leslie A. Patch Burge. He attended Knoxville High School. He married Michelle M. Lynch Whitson on April 5, 2014, in Rural Gilson.
Surviving are his wife, Michelle Burge of Delong; four sons, Dallas and Josh Burge of Knoxville, Mason and Brady Whitson of Delong; one daughter, Kaleigh Whitson of Galesburg; his parents, Dallas and Leslie Burge of Knoxville; three brothers,Chad (Jennifer) Anderson of Elmwood, Lucas (Charity) Burge and Jacob (Hillary) Burge of Knoxville. He was preceded in death by two daughters.
He worked in the Power House at Gates Rubber Company in Galesburg, and also worked construction in his spare time. He enjoyed riding his Harley, grilling, and loved to play in the dirt with his skid-steer, working on his trucks, and being with family and friends.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville. Rev. Don Miller will officiate. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nove. 8, 2016, at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Not a day goes by! Last night was very cloudy and we were on our way home (on county 10) and Dallas gunnar looks up and sees a hot rod looking cloud! He perks right up and says mom my dad's putting his cars away for the night :) lol he has a lot of invisions on what your doing up there! Just keep showing him signs that your still with him!
