Margaret Anderson Obituary

Margaret E. Anderson, 99, of Oneida, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital in Galesburg.
She was born on April 22, 1913, in Oneida, the daughter of John Harrison and Jeannette Johnston Anderson of Oneida.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, M.L. Anderson of Galesburg; nieces and nephews, Ann (Allan) Anderson Mustard of New Dehli, India, Susan Hill of Galesburg, Bill (Sandy) Anderson of Galesburg, Dick (Jenni) Anderson of Oneida, and Jan Anderson of Galesburg; great-nieces and great-nephews; many great great-nieces and cousins; and two special friends, Rose Marie Holmes of Wataga, and Beverly Holmes of Monmouth. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John H. Anderson and Andrew B. Anderson both of Oneida.
She was a graduate of Oneida High School and National College of Education in Evanston, Ill. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Anderson State Bank of Oneida for 74 years and was a member of the Illinois Bankers Association 50 year club. She was a volunteer for 34 years at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
There will be no visitation and a private family memorial service will be planned at a future time. Her body was willed to science at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Memorials may be given to Oneida Cemetery, First Presbyterian Church in Galesburg, and ROWVA Destination
