Michael Hidden Obituary

HENDERSON - Michael Tod Hidden, 55, 316 N. Main St., Henderson, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at home.
He was born May 24, 1956, in Peoria, the son of John F. "Jack" and Patricia J. Stevens Hidden. He married Reina Burns on May 10, 2005, in Peoria.
He is survived by his wife, Reina; his father, Jack Hidden of Norwood; five children, Ryan Hidden of Boston, Mass., Dale (and Angy) Hidden of Chillicothe, Joshua (and Nikki) Hidden of Geneseo, Sondra (and Jarvis) Hidden of Peoria and Daegan Hidden of Henderson; four stepchildren, Jade Thompson, Forest Thompson, Chase Thompson and Coltin Thompson, all of Henderson; four grandchildren, Kendra Davis-Walker, Mcgwire Hidden, Lauren Hidden and Kyla Fox; and three brothers, Gregg (and Sue) Hidden of Peoria, Eric (and Stephanie) Hidden of Norwood and Kurt Hidden or Peoria. He was preceded in death by his mother and a son, Jon Hidden.
Tod worked as a carpenter with Local 183 for many years. He graduated from Limestone Community High School and attended Illinois Central College. He volunteered his time coaching various sports for more than 30 years and served on the Head Start Council for three years. Tod enjoyed fishing, woodworking, animals and working in his yard.
Cremation will be accorded. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Second Baptist Church, 6417 Farmington Road, Peoria. A gathering celebrating Tod's life will be 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at his home in Henderson. Memorials may be made to an education fund for his son Daegan and his grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the Tod Hidden Memorial Fund at any Commerce Bank location in the Peoria area. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
