Michael Murphy Obituary
Michael "Mike" served as an E-3 Airman on the USS Oriskany and was stationed at NAS Lemoore.
Mike married the love of his life, Pat, in Illinois on April 24, 1966. Together they moved from Illinois and made their home in Reedley.
Mike joined the Reedley Police Department in 1970. He first worked as a reserve police officer then as a dispatcher. Mike retired in 1997 as a dispatch supervisor.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Anne Thurman Murphy; and his younger brother, Bruce Murphy.
Mike is survived by his son, Shawn (Lynn), and daughter, Heather, plus his faithful companion, Dachshund Harrison; grandchildren, Justen (Heather) and Cole (Susan); great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Trent, Hayden and Austen; and his siblings, Sandy, Ron, Judy and Dan.
Cairns Funeral Home, Reedley, was in charge of arrangements.
