She taught me who Elvis and The Statler Brothers were, how to crochet, how to play Bingo, how to find the best deals on clearance. I remember walking thru KMart (in the olden days) with her smoking a cig and eating bridge mix while we bargained shopped. I remember getting dressed up in fancy Easter dresses and going to church and being so happy with her. I was her granddaughter. Her oldest grandchild. After my mom, her daughter, passed away in 2002 my Gram held me together. When my 1st husband passed away in 2006, she was in a nursing home yet she was more worried about me and my girls. That was my Gram. Always worried about the family before herself. She was the Matriarch of a large family that expanded in many directions. Even at the age of 45 I still called to get her advice. Or to joke about how many boyfriends she might be chasing at the nursing home lol. And she always wanted to know how all 6 of my kids were and my husband. And even if she wasnt feeling great wanted to know what my doctors were saying. She was the most unselfish woman I had ever known. Her and my mom are my 2 heroes in life. Strong women that survived thru so much and loved so unconditionally. I pray that they are in Heaven together again. Rest in peace and watch over our families as our personal guardian angels. I love you Gram. You have helped me more than you know in this life. I will miss you dearly. But its your time to rest. Be sure to kiss Elvis for Me!!!!

No matter the circumstances, it is never easy to let a loved one go. I hope that your family finds comfort in each other and share the memories of the happiest times of life with your mother. With great sympathy, Mary Bizelli
