Thomas Tadie Obituary
Tom was born Jan. 7, 1933, in Galesburg, Illinois. He survived his loving wife of 53 years, Kathleen Clare Tadie.
He graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1951 and went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force. He had a 25-year career as a real estate broker (Tadie Realty) and upon retirement transitioned to home restoration. He was a proud father of seven children and a devoted member of the Catholic Church throughout his life. He enjoyed golfing and reading, and was a true expert in the game of checkers.
Tom is survived by seven children, Gary Tadie (and Vickie Nees), Carol (and John) Palmer, Daniel (and Robin) Tadie, Gregory (and Tricia) Tadie, Cynthia (and Kevin) Bingham, Lisa Pence, and Jeffrey (and Nikola) Tadie; 15 grandchildren, Amber, Joey, Brandon, Emily, Ryan, Rachel, MacGregor, Cameron, Thomas, Brittany, Benjamin, Jack, Nolan, Hannah and George; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sydney, Luke and Caleb.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Evon and Filka; and siblings, Mike, infant Joseph, Joe, Pete, Liz, Franny and Donna.
The family of Thomas Tadie wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Namaste Care Center and Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, both of Colorado Springs. A private family memorial service will follow in Galesburg.

We did not know Tom personally but Dan and Robin are good friends. We know that while Tom lived here in Colorado they were devoted to visiting him and making sure he had good care. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to them and to the entire Tadie family

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of my Uncle Tom. Although I haven't seen him in years, he was always very kind to me and my family. I wish his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren comfort in knowing he was a good person.

It breaks my heart but at the same time makes my heart glad that Uncle Tommy's generation have all moved from this temporary being to all gather together again with Filka and Evon. Like so many first generation in the U.S., the Tadies' had a rough road. A thank you must be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Corpus Christi H.S, St. Joseph's Academy, and the Knox County Health Dept. for keeping this family united when Evon was admitted to the Bushnell Sanatorium having been infected with TB- a common ailment in the 1930's. I will never forget Tom's hardy laugh and the twinkle in his eye. He was a GOOD man.

I know Tom & Liz were close. Although I only met Tom a few times I really enjoyed his personality. I had the good fortune to have a long conversation with him a few years ago in Galesburg at a reunion. My mom, Elizabeth, says I was named after him, so that's quite an honor for me. I guess he was her favorite brother...my prayers & thoughts were with him and the family as I heard about his situation from Mary Jane a couple weeks ago. My condolences. God bless Tom Tadie and your family.
