ANDERIA GERO Obituary

GERO, ANDERIA “PINKY” Anderia “Pinky” Gero completed her journey here and entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 7th, 2017. She had just celebrated her 74th birthday on January 4th. She was born in 1943 to the late Earle and Doris Siddall. She attended local schools and graduated from Torrington High School. She married her husband and best friend, Stuart, in June 1962, and they celebrated their 54th anniversary this past year. She stayed home to raise her children until they attended school, and then worked in the kitchen at South School in Torrington. She went on to work at the State Department of Transportation and finally at St. Francis Church, a job she truly loved, until her retirement. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children and their spouses, Stuart Gero & Glen LaFountain and Colleen & John Hall will forever cherish the memory of their mother and mother-in-law. Her grandchildren and spouses, Kyle & Danielle Gero, Bryan & Brooke Gero, Aundraya and Brian Pratt, and Jeffrey Hall will remember her with fondness and love. She is also survived by brothers, Earle and Kenneth Siddall, sister, Jane Valentine, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Joy came to “Pinky” in May 2015 with the birth of her great grandson, Oliver, who loved “my memi.” A smile would surely adorn her face whenever Oliver spoke these words. A Memorial Mass will be held on January 12, 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis Church, located on Main Street in Torrington. Family will receive friends at 105 County Road in Torrington on Wednesday 1/11 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
