BESOZZI, ATTORNEY JOHN F., JR. Torrington- Attorney John F. Besozzi, Jr., 85, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, in his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly E. (Nuttall) Besozzi. Mr. Besozzi was born in Torrington on June 2, 1930, son of the late John F. Besozzi, Sr., and Enes (Foglia) Besozzi, and had been a lifelong city resident. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and also served in the Air Force Reserves. Mr. Besozzi was a graduate of Torrington High School, Brown University, and the University of Connecticut School of Law. He practiced law in Torrington from 1960 until his retirement in 1996. Survivors include two sons, Jay J. Besozzi and his wife Mary, and Peter J. Besozzi, all of Torrington, a daughter, Joy Besozzi of Brooklyn, NY, a sister, Jean Rochelt of Torrington, three grandchildren, John, Katherine, and Laura Besozzi, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington.
