Lucinda Vail Obituary

Lucinda Vail
April 28, 1945 - July 26, 2025
Lucinda Vail, 80, died on July 26, 2025, in Broomfield, Colorado, after living with COPD and dementia for several years. Lucinda, also known as Cinda or Cindy, was born on April 28, 1945, and grew up in Torrington, Connecticut, graduating from Torrington High School. She earned her associate's degree from Hartford College for Women and in 1965, became a stewardess for American Airlines in New York City. While on a flight, she met her future husband, Joel Taylor Mosley. They were married in December of 1967 and resided in Lebanon, Tennessee. After their divorce in 1977 she worked for the Lebanon Democrat, UMC Hospital, and Hartmann Luggage. She obtained her bachelor's degree by taking night classes at Cumberland College. She later moved to Silverthorne, Colorado, where she ran her own cleaning business. She remained in Colorado for the rest of her life. She was a good home cook, enjoyed her pets, loved doing puzzles and crossing things off her to-do list. She also never hesitated to voice her opinion, which led to some conflicts at church, a daycare, and at least one job. She didn't regret any of it.
She is survived by her sister, Rebecca Hawkins, of Brunswick, ME; her sons, Adam Taylor Mosley of New York City and Nathan Edward Mosley of Erie, Colorado, his wife Michelle Breschini Mosley; and her grandchildren, Alyssa and Jake.
No services are planned but her ashes will be interred along with her parents, George Edward Vail and Phyllis Vail (Nelson) at Hillside Cemetery in Torrington.
