Mary Marciano Obituary

TORRINGTON - Mary J. (Persechino) Marciano, 96, of Queens Road, Torrington died Wednesday, Jan.5, 2011 at Torrington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Marciano.

Mary was born on October 6, 1914 in South Barre, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (DiLibro) Persechino. She was employed by the Torrington Company with the Needle Division until her retirement. She was also a foster parent for several years to many children and a loyal blood donor with the American Red Cross.

She is survived by one son, Ronald Marciano and his wife Sandra of Torrington; two daughters, Judith Ann Burakowski and her husband Adam of Torrington, Rebecca Marciano of Litchfield; one brother, Armand Persechino of Torrington; five grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mary`s funeral will be held on Monday, January 10, at 10 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to the Alvord Memorial Chapel at Hillside Cemetery for services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning, January 10th from 9 to 10 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
