Michael Bernard Obituary
Michael Theodore Bernard, 73, of Torrington, died Wednesday, July 13 at CHH.
Born in Winsted, CT. He was the son of the late Maurice and Anna Marie Bernard.
He lived in Torrington for the past 39 years. He worked as a carpenter, printer, and truck driver. After retirement, he was a softball umpire.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Roxanne Bernard.
He is survived by his son and daughter, Joshua Bernard and Sheena Blomberg of Torrington; his brother and his wife, Marcel and Nancy Bernard of Riverton; and four grandchildren.
There will be no services per his wishes.

I´m shocked to hear of Mike´s passing.Wr umpires together for years and got along well. He was too young. To Josh and Mike´s family, I´m so sorry to hear of Mike´s passing.May God comfort his entire family in this time of great sorrow and pain.

My condolences to his family. Mike was a Gem. He was always very approachable and willing to give me pointers as a fellow umpire down at the field. I'm very sad to hear of his passing....he will be missed.
