MURELLI, PETER Peter Murelli, 94, a lifelong resident of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Valerie Manor. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Cimelli) Murelli. Peter was born February 17, 1922, in Torrington, CT, son of the late Ceasere and Mildred (Mazzochi) Murelli. He was a retired Assistant Supervisor with the City of Torrington’s Street Department. Peter was a loyal employee of 37 years for the City of Torrington. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. He was also an Assistant Coach for Torrington Little League Baseball. Peter is survived by a son, Arthur Murelli (Nancy) of Burlington, a daughter, Linda Martin of Torrington, a son-in-law, Anthony Paige of Winsted, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother, Albert Murelli, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Elyse Paige. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
