SOLIANI, VILMA (SAVIANO) Vilma (Saviano) Soliani, 86, of Torrington, formerly of Bristol, widow of F. Fred Soliani, died on Wednesday (September 16, 2015) at her home. Vilma was born in Torrington on May 13, 1929 and was the older of two daughters of the late Anthony and Peryna (DiLullo) Soliani. She was raised in Torrington, lived in Goshen for seven years, then moved to Bristol in 1958 where she and Fred lived and raised their daughters before she returned to Torrington in 2010. She was a member of the former Bristol Lioness’ Club and did volunteer work at Bristol Hospital and local soup kitchens. Her main focus however was her family and friends especially her adored grandsons. Vilma is survived by two daughters: Susan Stevens and her husband Mark Brajczewski of Holly Springs, NC, and Karen Kelleher and her husband Brian of Harwinton; her sister, Jean Mazaik of Torrington; her two grandsons, Sean and Christopher Kelleher; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (September 19, 2015) at 11 AM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Saturday prior to the service between 10 and 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bristol Lions Club, PO Box 1421, Bristol, CT 06011-1421, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
