Betty Cellers Obituary

Betty Cellers (Abbey) d. 8/17/2020. b. Bradford, PA to Lawrence and Asenith Abbey 3/26/1937. Betty grew up in Port Allegany, PA with her siblings Mary Miller, John Abbey, Helen Raymer, and Larry "Corky" Abbey. In high school she participated in the Steno Club, Press Club, and Tri Hi Y. Betty was a member of the National Honor Society and valedictorian of her class 1955. In 1962, Betty and brother John drove across the US to San Jose, CA. She met Ray Cellers at the employment dept. She found a job and he found a wife. In 1981 the family moved to Drain, OR to care for Ray's parents and help on their farm. Betty was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her younger sister, Helen "Peach" Raymer, and her daughters, Abby Cellers and Leta Tillitt. She is missed.
