Corleen Leitzel
1917-2009
Corleen Leitzel of Springfield died July 19 of aged-related causes. Corleen lived 92 full and happy years. No service is planned.
Corleen was born March 2, 1917 in Walla Walla, Washington to Merle Trout and Lee Melhorn. She married Clarence Leitzel in 1952. Married 55 years, they are now reunited as Clarence passed away in March 2007.
Corleen was a seamstress and loved oil painting. A former member of the McKenzie River Artist Guild, her work was displayed throughout the area.
Survivors include a stepdaughter Tana Baker of Springfield; stepson Johnny Leitzel of Lapine; nieces Merlene Emmons and Geri Milhorn, both of Springfield, Corleen Stanphil of Eugene; nephews Danny and Michael Melhorn of Veneta; and many beloved great- nieces and nephews.
