To Alice, And your lovely children, I send my love and prayers. Your family are a special memories in my life. Alice, you and Danny were so kind to my mom Lucille and I can't express the sorrow I feel for you all. I remember when my brother died that you comforted us and you were a blessing to me. I wish I could be there for you now. Rest in piece Danny and keep his family calm and help them dear God to find strength in this time of great loss.

Please accept my sincere condolences about Danny passing. He and I worked together on the Oakridge District fire crew in 1976, I think it was, out of Flat Creek. He had the gift of fitting right in and the crew held him in high regard. One time, he was coaching a young guy on the crew in the art of shopping for a used car through the want ads in the newspaper--this was way before internet, remember. Anyway, Danny would read an ad aloud then analyze the true meaning of the description given by reading between the lines. About one ad, he commented that no, that isn't the car to buy--it belonged to some young guy who had driven it hard and beat it up. About another he said--here is what you want--a car owned by a little old lady who took care of it, kept it in the garage, and drove slow. All these years later, that story still makes me smile. I remember Danny as warm, sincere, and caring and I am sorry for your loss. [Hello to Denise, she and I worked together at the county many years ago.]

I worked with Danny in the 70's and he was a kind person and a good firefighter. I know Danny is in his heavenly home. You and your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely Rob Barnes.
