David Arthur Bales

1942 - 2014

David Arthur Bales (72) of Springfield passed away peacefully with family at his side Friday, September 12th, 2014 at 11:02 am. He lived a fulfilled life eventually retiring as a mechanic for Roseboro Lumber Company in 2009 to spend time with his family and do projects he enjoyed around the house. His hobbies included fishing, being in the outdoors, working on the beautiful property/home he and his wife created together as well as spending time with family/friends.

He is survived by his wife Ann of 48 years, his two children - daughter, Shainy and son, Coby; his 5 grandchildren: Shelby, Tessa, Maddie, Jamen and Bailey as well as his sister, Billie Bunnell; three brothers: Mike Bales, Charlie and Steve Demoss.

All family, friends and people who remembered Dave are invited to attend his Celebration of Life November 2nd, 2:30 pm at The McKenzie Room in the Willamalane Adult Activity Center located at 215 W. I was just telling a co-worker last week of my bean picking memories. I remember making spaghetti and meatballs out of mud with Janet and David. David always had a smile. My prayers are with his family. Jean Haugen
