He was born on April 27, 1978 in Eugene, Oregon and was lovingly adopted by Day and Dianne Farrald. He married Katy Molloy on February 14, 2009, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Donovan graduated from Junction City High School in 1996 where he played football and wrestled. He received his Eagle Scout Award and spent several summers working at Camp Baker in Florence, Oregon. He enjoyed driving his Jeep off-road, scuba diving, hiking, rock climbing, singing, playing guitar, and snowboarding. Donovan both played and refereed indoor soccer games at Kick City. In Donovan's current job as Route Manager for Nature's Second Chance Hauling, he supervised the pick-up of recyclable cardboard throughout Oregon. Donovan was a skilled professional truck driver, and he trained numerous long haul drivers during his employment with Central Refrigerated Trucking. He also worked for On Time Delivery, Ideal Steel, Hynix, Les Schwab and volunteered as an EMT.

Donovan was a loving and loyal husband, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He always had a helping hand and a smile for everyone. Donovan was funny, outgoing, honest and loved life. He is survived by his wife Katy, their dogs Rhino, Bandit, and Katniss, mother Dianne Farrald, father and step-mother Day and Linda Farrald, his brother and sister-in-law Dustin and Annette Farrald, their children Alexandria and Dyson Farrald, and his brother and sister-in-law Dannon and Jean Farrald.
