Eric Heaton Burmeister passed away of natural causes in Eugene, Oregon on January 17, 2019.

Eric was born in Decatur Illinois on April 27, 1955 to Robert & Mary Alice (Trierweiler) Burmeister Eric traveled to China during high school, he attended St. Cloud University. He served his country by joining the United States Coast Guard during his early years Eric was a loving husband and father. He was a lover of Chicago Blues, and an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He also loved animals and organic gardening.

Eric is survived by his wife, Helen Burmeister, his children, Randy, James and Stephanie and sister in law Jodi.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Steve Burmeister.

A private celebration of Eric's life will be held at a later date.
