Skerke

Born on July 6, 1922 in Reno, Nevada to Samuel Tracy and Catherine Dales. Died October 24, 2014 in Springfield, Oregon, age 92. She married Walter J. Skerke on October 3, 1940, he passed away on November 26, 1990. Their only child, Lana Ellen was born December 3, 1946 in Camp Stoneman, California.

During WWII, Fran worked for the Secret Service in San Francisco, she also was a trained dental hygentist and school bus driver.

She loved to swim, walk, read and garden, especially raking leaves. Reading was one of her favorite winter activities, and volunteering at her local Springfield library repairing books.

Because of her husband's military career, she lived in Austria, Germany, New York, North Carolina, Illinois and California besides Oregon.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lana & David Bowen.
