Frank Stalder Obituary

Frank Stalder, of Cottage Grove, OR, died on February 23, 2018, at the age of 85. He was born on July 22, 1932 in Cottage Grove to parents John and Laura (Davison) Stalder. He was a truck driver for both timber and construction industries. He enjoyed hunting, especially Canada Moose hunting. He was a farmer and raised cattle, sheep, pigs, and chickens. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing. He especially loved spending time with his family and visiting the neighbors. He married Charlene A. Boyd in Springfield, OR, on March 24, 1950. Frank is survived by his wife, Charlene of Cottage Grove; daughter, Marjie A. (Jerry) Vaverka of Cottage Grove; daughter, Lola (Denny) Bordeaux of Cottage Grove; daughter, Linda Stalder of Florida; daughter, Freda Edmunds (Bob Potter) of Cottage Grove; daughter, Wanda Stalder of Cottage Grove; daughter, Heidi Stalder of Creswell; daughter, Jenny (Tim) Brown of Sisters, OR; and daughter, Nina Allen of Portland; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Stalder. A Celebration of Life and Potluck will be held at the London Grange at noon on Saturday, March 10. Burial will be in Fir Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove.
