I was a big fan of the KPNW morning show in the 90's.....and Mike was the central part of it. A great radio talent with a fantastic sense of humor and unquestionably the best pipes in Eugene radio.....ever. I was listening the morning he hung up the headphones and still miss his presence there. 1120 has never seemed the same since.

My mornings on air with Mike were fun, educational, amazing, and I learned so much. I miss him and thank him daily. And he taught me the Duck fight song one early morning, and I sing it in his honor.

Mike was a great colleague and a fantastic teacher...and one of the funniest people I've ever known. My deepest sympathies to the family. May his memory be a blessing.

Some of my fondest memories are broadcasting high school basketball tournament games with Mike. We had some great laughs on and off the air. Big loss. Loved Mikey G!
