Roger Nielsen Obituary

February 23, 1986 -
September 26, 2017

Roger was born February 23, 1986 in Eugene, Oregon to Robert C. and Shalline E. Nielsen.

He leaves behind a cherished older brother, Scott. Grandparents are Sid and Beth Emerson of Elmira, Oregon.

He leaves behind many, many aunts and uncles, tons of cousins and lots of friends. Roger also has a pet snake, Lucille Ball Python, Lucy for short and his dog Trigger. Roger was a salesman, he could sell you anything. In the past he worked as a Wildland Firefighter and as a volunteer fireman for the Siuslaw District when he lived in Florence. He loved to snow board, fly RC helicopters, ride dirt bikes, hike, camp, listen to music, he was also mechanically inclined and could fix anything. Roger loved to joke around and tease his friends. He also loved clothes and had amazing style. He was quite the ladies man and loved children.

We will all cherish the great memories we had with Roger. Services will be held October 7, 2017, at the Veneta Community Center starting at 1:00.

Roger was a great friend of mine. I was the first person to show him how to fly CP helicopters and get into FPV flying. we shared a huge amount of love for RC anything. one time we even took a camera and placed it on a car so we could drive it while looking at the screen around my neighborhood. lots of reengineering of other aircraft. I remember the last time we talked , we were going to make a viral video to jump start his youtube channel. Rest In Power my dear CHIP.

Dearest Brother and friend. No one could match your energy and enthusiasm for life Rog. You are a smart, talented, caring and loving person. One of your favorite quotes was " You should know something about everything, and everything about something."
We love and miss you so much...There's no one I would have rather grown up with. I'll always have your back no matter what brother. You're now a legend and your memory and stories will live on forever. All your stuff will be waiting for you so don't worry. There's so many stories I wish we could talk about still. Soon brother, soon. Love you Roger. Peace Out.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings; the Sun for sorrow will not show his head: go hence, to have more talk of these sad things; some shall be pardon'd, and some punished: it for never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo. You were my forever....wait for me, ill see you soon

My heart goes out to Shalline and Scott ... the sadness you are experiencing is so filled with pain... soon though, it will be replaced with paradise earth, perfect people and only one path, that of serving our God. In the meantime may the comfort from the Bible give you peace of mind, and the strength of Jehovah's arm keep you strong as he wipes your tears. Much love to you. Hugs!

I remember Roger loved his moms approval. He would bike in the air and ask if she thought he got good air? I don't know how or why he died but learned about his death on fb. Much love to Shalline, Scott(wife),and Bob. We wait the grand resurrection when Roger will be back.

We love you all and want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you each and everyday. Just a short rest for Roger and we'll have him back with us as good as new. He was one sweet little boy that grew into a sweet handsome young man and that sweetness and all the wonderful memories of him will live on in our hearts til we see him again.
