A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 11th from 3-5 p.m. at Springfield Elks Lodge, 1701 Centennial Blvd, Springfield, OR for Sheryl "Shari" Toftemark of Eugene who died August 8th of complications from Scleroderma. She was only 67.

Sheryl was born on March 8th, 1944 in Toledo, OR to Orville Henry "Bob" and Virginia (Brace) Marr. She married Jorgen "John" Toftemark on November 22, 1962 in Eugene, OR.

Sheryl graduated from North Eugene High School in 1962. Later she pursued her AA in business management from Montgomery College in Germantown, MD as well as certification of medical transcription and billing from DeAnza College in Cupertino, CA. She worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and volunteer as well as holding several officer positions for the B.P.O. Elks in Astoria, Seaside, and Springfield, OR.

Survivors include her loving husband John; her mother Virginia (Brace) Marr, Cottage Grove, OR; son, Thomas Toftemark & his wife Monica of Plano, TX; daughter Kristi (Toftemark) Butler & husband Sal of San Jose, CA; brothers: Robert "Bob" Marr of Phoenix, AZ; Ron Marr & Alice of Eugene, OR; Randy Marr of Blue River, OR; sisters: Susan "Susi" (Marr) Jones & Craig of Cottage Grove, OR and Cindy "Cindy Lou" (Marr) Hurt & Jeff of Blue River, OR; and eight grandchildren Kylie, Dylan, Paris, Briana, Tylor, Gavin, Abigail & Kimber.

How sad it was to read of your loss of Sheryl. Oh, my, but I know how you, and everyone, will miss her! You and Sheryl were of great help to me. Often, I have thought of the two of you and all your efforts to improve the world around you. When Sheryl left this life she had made this world a better place to live in. My affections go out to you and your family. Take care!
