WEST MANCHESTER — Jerry E. Williamson, 87 years, 8 months and 4 days, of West Manchester, passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, at his home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1936, in Lakeland, Florida, to the late Jerome and Audrey (Flora) Williamson.
On Feb. 2, 1957, he was united in marriage to Donna Denlinger. They started up housekeeping in Trotwood in the Stillwater District. In 1960 they moved to West Manchester, in the Prices Creek District. Their home was blessed with four children.
He was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church on July 17, 1993, and he called for and received anointing on Feb. 20, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; siblings: Kenneth, Nathan (Janice), Delbert, Earl, Mary Alice (Dewey) and Glen (Betty); granddaughter-in-law Brittani Ann Williamson; two great-granddaughters: Addison Markley and Reyna Austin; brothers-in-law Jimmy Causey and Pat Shiver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Donna (Denlinger) Williamson of West Manchester; four children: Christy (Aaron) Markley of New Paris, Calvin Williamson of Lewisburg, Gary (Sue) Williamson of West Manchester, and Cheryl (Emery) Bowman of Rocky Mount, Virginia; 14 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; sisters Naoma Shiver of Lakeland, Florida, and Linda (Charlie) Merritt of Haines City, Florida; sisters-in-law Mary Williamson of Lakeland, Florida, and Rose Williamson of Clarkesville, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6223 State Route 726, Eldorado.
Funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. with the home brethren officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
